Q) How can I order goods?
A)Purchasing that beautiful, unique British-designed piece from the Great British Designs website couldn't be easier...... just click on the 'Add to Basket' button found on the detailed product page for each item. You will be able to review and change the contents of your basket if required at Checkout.
If you have any queries about a piece, or if you would rather speak to someone to order your purchase, please call us the freephone number 0800 148 8307, and we will help you through the process.
You also have the option to to add the items you love to your own 'Wish List' which you can come back to at any time, and turn your wishes in to purchases!
You must be registered on the Great British Designs website to use either of these facilities.
Q) How do I pay for my items?
A) You have a number of payment options....
By Card: Just enter your card details along with your personal delivery address etc and your order will be confirmed by email from us.
By phone: If you prefer to speak with someone, just give us a call on the freephone number 0800 148 8307 and we will process the order and payment in person.
Please view our Ordering and Purchasing Terms prior to making any purchases, so that you fully understand your rights.
Q) Will my card details be safe?
A) Any information submitted through the Great British Designs website, including any card details, is encrypted on our secure server using SSL. Your card details are not kept by us, and none of your details will ever be passed on to a third party.
Q) How do I know my order is being processed?
A) As soon as we receive your order, you will receive an order confirmation email, containing all the details of your order. We will then contact you either by email or phone to confirm a delivery date that is suitable for yourself. If there are any hold-ups for any reason, we will let you know immediately, and re-organise a delivery date if required.
If at any point you decide not to go ahead with the order - that is fine! We will refund your full costs and cancel the order.
Q) What if something I order is out of stock?
A) For each item on the site, we give an approximate delivery date, but as each piece is handmade, there may be times when these delivery dates can't be met. We will always call you to discuss delivery dates if this occurs, and you have the right to cancel your order, with a full refund, if the revised delivery date is not suitable for you. If you are ever in doubt, just call or email...we will be happy to help.
Q) How much do you charge for delivery?
A) Standard delivery to all UK mainland addresses is given for each item individually - see product details for information. Express delivery may also be available - this will be at an additional cost. Please call us to check on this, or any other specific requirements you may have.
If you are wanting deliveries outside the UK - please call us on 0800 148 8307, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or use the 'Contact Us' facility to discuss your requirements, and obtain a quote.
Q) Do you ship outside of the UK?
A) We are happy to ship orders outside the UK. Details will vary from product to product, so please call us to discuss your requirements and obtain a quote.
Q) How long does delivery take?
A) Delivery times will vary from product to product, but we will always try to get items to you within 5 days.
However, as most of the items on the site are hand-made, there may be a delay if the designer is out of stock of a particular item. We will advise you of this as soon as possible, and arrange a delivery date that will allow for making the product. This will mean a longer lead-time, but you will be receiving a high-quality, hand-made unique piece - and we believe this is worth the extra wait!
Sometimes, the Designers may have the piece you are ordering in stock - if this is the case, delivery times can be much quicker than quoted. If delivery times are important to you, and you need a faster delivery - please call us on the freephone number 0800 148 8307, and we will do our best to help you!
Q) Can I arrange an alternative delivery address to my own?
A) This is usually fine, you can add alternative delivery addresses at the checkout. You may also keep alternative addresses in your own Account Area, once you have registered.
Q) Can I pay for an order on delivery?
A) Sorry, no. All orders must be paid for prior to delivery. With larger pieces of furniture, we are able to take a part-payment at the time of ordering, with full payment made at time of delivery. Please call us to discuss payment terms on furniture.
Q) What if I am unhappy with my purchase?
A) Firstly, give us a call to see if we can help rectify the situation. If you are unhappy with your purchase, simply return it within 14 days in it’s original condition, stating the problem and how you would like us to resolve it (replacement, refund, exchange).
Provided goods are unused and undamaged, we agree to reimburse you for the specific purchase. We reserve the right to charge for the cost of returning any goods.
